Yes I use it - with success :D
And I teach it - see sig :)

It works with little work - little success
And with a bit more work and PATIENCE - big success. (hint: quality content)

Its the best tool if someone wants to get started with little/no budget and no big email list.

The thing that actually happens, is that a lot of members here just post:

    • I use it, it works
    • I don't use it, because it doesn't work
And sometimes I'm getting pissed of this. On a forum people must share their opinions, it's not because person A says it that it's true. The problem here is, that people aren't understanding what a forum is for. Saying Yes or No doesn't mean a thing -- people should make clear why they say yes or no.

The mentality on this forum is awesome from some members, some others though are doing stuff that just makes others pissed. If Twitter isn't working for you, you can always read blogs about it to get it worked or if really nothing works you can PM me and I am sure that I can help you out ;)

Hope this answer is clear, at least it normally should :D

Twitter works very well for celebrities I've seen. For instance, Britney Spears has 3+ million followers and anytime she plugs something of hers, people are all over it. It's a good tool if you have a lot of followers who trust you in your area of expertise. But if you're an average joe with no reputation, chances are nobody's going to give you the time of day.

You know how to make Twitter work? Make friends with somebody really famous like Oprah or Shaq who have tens of thousands of followers and ask them to plug your product.:p :D

I think that twitter is a great tool. But I think that a great many of the older generation are intimidated by all of the new technology.

Twitter is a very useful tool, but you get what you put in. If you don't interact with the people you follow/follow you, you won't get any traffic to any links you post, or subsequently any sales. I've noticed it can be a painstaking job building followers, but done the right way, it can be more powerful than most other tools, including Facebook.

To me it seems like if you post something on twitter people will click anything you post, but they really don't care and most are not interested. But hey it's free traffic right, and you never know I guess. Just seems like the traffic quality is rather poor or low.

Yes- Twitter is great for marketing. The key is the search technique. Search for terms that are relevant to your niche or site- then follow people from that search who are using those terms. They will follow you- and result in success for your business.

    Cheers,
    Andy

Twitter is very popular. And, yes, even the big shots go there, but that does not mean the average Joe can make money with it.

    It's two different things entirely.
