    So the question is:
    Do you use real or fake email addresses & personal information such as your name when
    signing up for websites offering free ebooks or similar?

    I always use a special email address for signing up to websites like this, and so far
    my email address have gotten about 600´000 spam mails. :p

    I use the real stuff because I figure if something's caught my interest, then there's a chance that I may follow up with it. Therefore I'd want to receive future mailings and offers etc to come to where I'm going to see it. I never really just sign up to get the free offer with no intentions of giving the marketer the respect of hearing him/her out in the future. If I don't like what I see in the future, I just unsubscribe.

    I use a spam email that I rarely if ever check. Sorry, but I hate it when people send me 50 emails everyday and that's what usually ends up happening.
