Do you use PSP to watch videos? I now see all the movies in iPod video. I never use the TV. I am thinking of buying a PSP to watch videos. Is it worth it?
It's worth it since PSP is a great gaming device as well as a host of handy gadgets it can be used for.
I have used the PSP to watch videos on those long summer trips in the car before. It does have a very sharp and nice screen As far as that goes, I also played a few games on it like ridge racer, wipe out pure, and a few other titles...but it seems as if Sony has been neglecting the system or something no good games coming out...some games are just PS2 games missing few stages and characters sold as the PSP version. You can use it to play music as well if you would like... Overall I would NOT recommend a PSP to anyone its a waste of money they have crappy games for this system and only a few titles worth playing. BUT if you want to get one just to let you know they maybe releasing a newer revised version of the PSP its thiner and lighter something like that...
I watch movies on my GP2X. It's not as powerful for gaming as a PSP, but it runs lots of emulators (SNES, SEGA, NeoGeo, Mame etc...) without having to screw around with firmware.
I am not a gamer. But I enjoy portable movies.. I just want to know if PSP is better than iPod video to watch movies!
yes! you can watch great video in your psp..tha graphis was fine.. but psp still a playstation that only games can play..
Ah...sorry about all that stuff about the games, I got carried away...One thing i would like to add though would be to get a screen protector. I would recommend getting the Hori Screen Protector...search it on ebay once you put it on you can't tell its there. I think it would be best to get it while you are buying the system or before you buy the system. The PSP is very easily scratched...even the micro fiber cloth that came with it scratched my psp right out the box you can search this up on google they call it "Micro Scratches". Also Its kinda tricky putting the screen protector on w/o any dust going under it...one thing I tried that worked well was to use a can of air and just keep it blowing while you paste it on...if you are that paranoid like me about the dust PS check out the PSP lite or whatever they are going to call it...maybe it would be best to wait a few months.
I watch videos on my video iPod 30gb mp4 player, it's great, I have about 6 movies, 90 South Park episodes, 10 Family Guy episodes, and still have more room left, it's great And you don't have to worry about carrying around disks (which I think you do with a PSP, as it has a small memory).
I've been considering getting one for movies for my bus rides to work. Although, there's probably a better solution then buying one of those just for movie watching.
Oooh, and I forgot to add I also have about 200 songs on my iPod too ... I got it for movies though, the fact that it can play songs is an added bonus
Yea it's awesome and you can download almost any TV show or movie that is still in theater from PSPkings.com
