I used to download every script i could get hold of pirated or not. then i realised that a majority of these are all crap anyway and that if i want any kind of good experience then paying is the way to go. the support and updates etc which you recieve mostly make it very worthwhile paying for scripts
Spot on. I do the same when the script developer doesn't offer a free demo of the admin backend. Plus I can also make sure the script will absolutely work with my host.
I don't use illegal scripts, they are either open source like wordpress - which are free, or I pay for them like PHPld. I run a company so I pay for everything. Give the guys credit who develop these systems and pay their small fees.
I would never use an illegal script, everything on my comp is legal, even photoshop. I have the box to prove it. and the recipt from staples.
I don't... Think about it this way: If everyone pirated the script and no one purchased it, do you think that developer is going to be able to develop updates / add-ons / enhancements for the script? Besides, most scripts are fairly inexpensive.
That's like saying "The fatter I get, the more I see the value in paying for the food I steal". I agree.
