Fire Fox is my staple. I do keep a copy of IE 8- and Chrome for testing purposes. On a separate computer that is much older i have 6 running on it once again for testing purposes. Sometimes I have run into a site such as my old banking website which mandated that I have IE. 125 emails and a year and half of complaining to them they did finally opened it up to all browsers. So I would say it depends on the computer you are putting in on.

You shouldn't use IE at all. Even IE9 will be 5 years behind modern standards and practices if it comes out next year. It just doesn't make any sense when you can get all the features of IE9 and more, right now, by just using Firefox, Opera, Safari or Chrome.
