A wile back I used IE6 to test sites when I was using XP and then I upgraded to 7(I removed XP when I upgraded as I didn't have a need for it anymore). I didn't feel I had any need to have the latest version of IE so I uninstalled it, but anyway to be honest, Firefox and Google Chrome is more then enough for me.

Though I haven't chosen IE as my default browser since about 2002, a lot of companies have stuck steadfastly to IE6 internally on their desktops for cost, management and - ironically - security reasons. Unfortunately, there's still quite a sizable share of surfing done on IE6, given its age (it holds a share roughly equivalent to IE7, and only slightly less than IE8). Then there's the vast pool of XP mom and pop home machines that came with IE6 installed, and either haven't or can't be upgraded to anything better.

Anyone that still uses IE6 should be shot! I know some companies can't be bothered but comon!
All web developers should get together and write block IE6 javascript, but IE6 might not be able to support it? :(

I use the latest Firefox and IE8.

The post of OP just encouraged me to see my IE version and it was IE6. Since I have never used it, I have not even cared to upgrade it!

I use IE-7 which is almost okay and not weird like IE -6. But this is only for testing cross - browsers. I hate IE -6, and IE -8 is almost okay.
But with rich text editors IE-8 has issues I think. In those cases I used to use meta tags to render IE-7 engine to make them work in IE-8

I wish people would stop using IE6. It makes it very hard for us web developers to make a site look pretty.
I use Firefox, but try to test my site in IE6+ as many companies are still stuck in the dark ages.
