Here's what I suggest.. if you notice the crashes occur most frequently at a time when an extension is active that specific extension is probably the cause (ex: if it happens when you open the calendar, it's the calendar extension..). If you're uncertain. You can disable (no need to uninstall) the bottom half of your extension list. I know, I know, it sounds bad... but remember : they're EXTENSIONS, not indispensible features. If the problem still occurs, disable the entire bottom 3/4 of the extension list...repeat until you have it narrowed down.
Once again Google shines through: google search for microsoft ie7 public beta http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/ie7betaredirect.mspx
I use Firefox(*) 95% of the time and IE 6.0 to check websites I work on. I tried Deepnet Explorer for a while and really liked it but it has loads of bugs and progress on new versions is slow. (*) with the Noia theme which is excellent and a few extensions such as a tab managers and Google bar.
I use FF and IE. Hey joch21 - you can set-up FF to load numerous sites automatically in different tabs when launched? How can you do that??
I have the Tab Mix Plus extension that does just that - you can set it to restore sessions for multiple sites so that, say you have five tabs open when you exit the browser - they will restore themselves upon reload. More info here: http://tinyurl.com/9art8 (firefox add ons pages)
I use firefox mostly because on this dell laptop I've had to report issues as certain sites that you go to with a checkered background eats up 100% cpu in internet explorer. If anyone is interested enom is the first site that caused me problems. Although all the menus on their site doesn't look right
I always find it interesting that in forums when this poll is posted that the majority use FF... however, a lot of my site visitors use is still IE. I run several sites and here are the results of IE vs FF MS Internet Explorer 82.8 % Firefox 13.4 % Others --- Didnt bother adding them up. I guess that most people who post in tech forums are FF users because they are tech type people who use FF for a reason, rather then the majority of the net who use IE as standard and do not really know the difference.
Yeah true i guess i am to lazy to get round to figuring out which extension it must be, i have noticed it crashes quite randomly but it is normally after i click on a link to a site, doesnt matter which link or where. When i click on the same link later it will work fine. I am just gonna uninstal the extensions that i dont use much and hopefully it will be one of them!
