Do you use facebook? What is the significance of facebook in your own life? So a cousin of mine that I am close to got into a big argument last week. We have not talked in over a week but this morning I woke up and checked my facebook and their was a post on his wall that he knew deep inside would provoke me to begin a conversation with him. I honestly believe that you only fight with people that you really care about (because if you didn't give a darn, you wouldn't waste the effort) so to get to the point of my story (the significance of facebook) Honestly, I have over 500 facebook friends (some family, some people I grew up with, some current friends, some my daughter's friends etc- You get the point-) Just basically alot of people!!! Do I have time to talk to them people everyday via phone or face to face? Of course not. How do I know if they are having real problems in their life and need me to take time to call them or be there? FACEBOOK!! I see what is going on with them in their everyday life via facebook That is the truth. In the past week, I found out my niece has strep, 2 of my childhood friends parents had died, another friend's mother was in a horrible car accident, 4 friends are expecting a baby, 1 got a really huge job promotion etc. If I was not a member of facebook, I probably wouldn't know all this. 6 of my friends had birthdays this past week and I got to wish them a happy birthday. If it wasn't for facebook, I probably wouldn't have known all this (because simply, none of us have time to call everyone in our lives everyday) Social networking is the best
I really enjoyed reading your story! I use facebook but it is not as significant for me... YET. This is because I'm still young (20) therefore there is not much that I have missed and I do not know that many people or have that big of a family. However, I know so many people that would connect to friends they have not seen in 20 years or family they have yet to meet or know about, etc. It's just crazy. But although I am 20, I still ran into coworkers that I knew at 16years old. When you are 20, not much has changed. I definitely look forward for facebook to keep me connected to everyone once I leave the U.S. in the future. I love facebook because it was a great replacement for myspace. Myspace was childish!
Thank You. I just love facebook. I have become reconnected with so many people from my childhood (I am 35) because of facebook and I just love it. I love seeing what people that I have went to elementary, middle and high school etc have done with their lives. I regained contact with my relatives in Georgia. I just love it. I'm a facebook addict. I love looking at everyone's pics etc. Definately get a facebook account, it's so fun and I just love to chat with people
hello friends ... for me the FB has a very special place in my life. It keep my friends with me all the time and looking on the other side fb helps me making a nice group of people who feels their responsibility for their city. So, FB is rocks for me...
According to me Facebook is the big source of networking where we get lots of targeted traffic for websites, communicate with different people, increase our profile popularity, do ads campaign, increase brand awareness, join different groups and pages and many more..
I do not actually want to become dependent on Facebook because at this point of time, a lot of people who have Facebook accounts are becoming dependent and so attached with it. I admit I am benefiting from Facebook when it comes to my work because i can easily interact and communicate withe my co-workers by easily sending them short messages. I can also check some updates regarding our daily task and work. One reason that I know why many people are using Facebook is because they can easily promote their products and services and they can advertise the websites that they are generating.
