Most of us definitely do. Since softwares are kinda expensive. But instead of using pirated stuffs, I tend use freewares.
I didn't think you could get Windows Updates if you used a pirated version of Windows Vista. Everything I own from MS is a legitimate and paid copy. Own Vista Ultimates, Office 2007 Enterprise and Ultimate and Visual Studio 2008 Pro.
You correct you cannot get updates if you have pirate versions because Micorosft downloads a verifier first and if your not genuine it doesn't go any further. However I have come across a few ways to get around this
I use just XP from MS and it is a legitimate copy...though I had to bargain hard with my vendor for heavy discount, to include it with the full hardware package.. Regards, RightMan
I pay for all my software. If it is really needed then it is worth the money. If I get it free, there are plenty of OS, or freeware stuff out there. I do not see the need to pirate things. Plus I know with Vista, there are always upgrades that need to be done. This is just my opinion on the subject.
I technically only got something and it came with my laptop (xp x64) which was horrible good thing I didn't pay other than that yes I use custom editions of windows
I am a serious pirate, Arghhh. I never bought any software in my life but a copy of windows XP was bundled with my PC but now I am using a moded version.
If we go about buying a license for each software we use....i dont think anyone would be left with money to have a place to live in
Yeah, except Windows 7 I guess, but I made it last forever with a patch so I guess its illegal now.. But I do have legit copies of XP & Vista..
