    I used to use it,
uninstalled it and wondering if I should re-visit it again.

Also wondering how many people are actively using the toolbar?

Why would I want to run the toolbar of a search engine no one but Web geeks have ever heard of?

I might run it if it was available on FireFox. Instead I'll stick to Google's toolbar.

not for the search engine, that's for sure :). just because of the traffic stats, as inaccurate as they may be.

ALexa stats are a lot of fun. But my anti spyware software kept recommending I get rid of Alexa so I uninstalled it and have never looked back.

Maybe if a few more people would use it, alexa would bhe at least remotely accurate. Although I would noone ever recomment to install this crap...

Especially for lower ranked sites the Alexa ranking is entirely uselless and completely inaccurate. I have no idea why this site has the reputation and importance it has now. Completly unjustified IMO.

I had it and it made my browser take 3 times longer to load.

Couldn't stand it any more so it is back to the garbage can.

Never used it, I couldn't really see that much point in it if I'm honest.

Cool. Didn't realize FireFox had such an extension. I'm guessing it is just for showing the rank, and that it doesn't affect the rankings in any way?

    Ohh what a great post

I have had clients actually take me to task about their site not being ranked on Alexa two weeks after starting an seo campaign...others tell me that sinceI wasn't in the top 100,000 sites I could not help them and I've had people try to pay me to get them to the top of Alexa... I declined lol..

The only people who use it that I know of are designers, developers, seos ,advertisers, webmasters...basically people interested in website traffic.

Which is at best less than 10% of the population and therefore in no way accurate as a traffic measurement tool.

    IMHO
