    i keep my pc on at night and turn it off in the morning :) and back on in the afternoon...but in the summer...it stays on for weeks without restarting or logging off :)

    i shut down my computer everynight! and then again start it in the morning, my UPS is not capable of running my computer for a longer period of time:eek:

    I do! If not some of my programs don't run as well. It seems someone else mention that their computer runs better with a fresh start up.

    I know Windows XP based computers do.

    Yes, I am turn off my pc everyday at every night. I give rest atleast 6 to 7 hours at night so it works good in morning. :D

    while others will claim that they hardly ever turn off their PC's using XP and everything runs great :rolleyes::rolleyes:

    well if you use FF&IE over a long period say goodbye to your memory allocation!!!

    I use FreeRAM Pro to clean things up a bit instead of rebooting. It's no magic bullet, but it does help a bit.

    Yeah I shut mine down when I'm not using it. Save the plannet and all! Plus these health scares e.g. radiation, I wouldnt risk my health however I don't know too much about this, better to be safe than sorry.

    I have System Mechanic but who knows if it helps :p
    It will defrag the RAM though and recover what it can!

    still nothing like a fresh reboot....better yet a fresh install!!
