I'd trust them a hell of a lot more if they were to give me some office space in Googleplex.

The chances of that are.....not there.

I trust that they are a self serving money grubbing organization and will do everything in their power to make more money by benefiting consumers in a variety of ways.

    Sure I trust Google.

I think one of the biggest problems with perception is that Googlesphere is a complex and evolving beast. Just like it takes 24 hours for the dawn to traverse the globe it takes time for updates to spread across all datacenters. Given that there are many different types of data updates from multiple sources going on at any given time etcetera etcetera etcetera it is impossible to take a snapshot and have everything be the same.

Remember the Google Dance? Even back then it took a week or more to sync everything.

Frankly, I would trust far less a tame homogeneous search engine that purports that the Internet can be held still long enough to snap of a few family portraits.

    Say Cheese!

define trust and you'll get more interesting replies.

I trust google to some extent, after all, they got my tax identification number off me for adsense.

I do not believe, however, that they stick to their "do no evil" motto. they've done some things that I find absolutely insane, and some that seem like they would be illegal, should someone actually challenge them.

    iwant to say something..
trust means =ex:: if you trust google the following list is completely valid for you
    examples
1)when we want to find something we trust it because before it in the past time, we find what we want to find....
    2) we want to show our site to our costumers with google, because in the past we get alot of costumers from google..
    3).........google adwords...
    4).....etc..(you know the others)

I trust Google enough to have a business relationship with them via AdWords and AdSense.

I do not trust them enough to put Google search on my desktop or to use their office appliances and/or gmail for important information; or to store my company's customer data on storage servers managed by Google.

I think their results are starting to get slightly worse because of MFA sites and plain out spam. Google's own moneymaking powerhouse (Adsense) is what may ultimately bring about their demise. They are literally paying people to create spam, which they index, and pollute the results.

I've been using ask.com a little bit more. They're results aren't too bad.
