Do you trust companies that handle their own affiliate programs? Do you prefer companies that outsource the management of their affiliate programs to affiliate networks? I'm asking this because I feel a company that tracks its own affiliates could be a little less "accurate" as far as sales goes. Based on your experience, what can you say? Thanks a lot
I have a lot of experience on the management side and affiliate side. It really depends on the company. CJ has some pretty reliable tracking from my experience. When you go with an inhouse program you can 1. ask for higher payouts 2. get a long cookie (like 1-10 years) 3. Work with the affiliate managers on learning about the company's products or services. If you are converned with the company you are affiliating with you can talk to them and feel them out and see if you trust them. Most companies that I know want their affiliates to prosper so its to their long-term advantage to have successful, productive affiliates. Hope this helps....
Thank you, experienceadvertising, it's good to hear from someone who has been in both sides. I'd like to hear opinions from more people, anyone?
Depends on company But for most profitable niche - Adult, almost everyone handle own affiliate programm! And that programs are very reliable!
