do you track each individual keyword?

so i usually track each adgroup, but not each keyword. do most people here track each keyword and if so how do they do so? assuming they are simply driving traffic straight through an affiliate link to a merchant site.

Why on earth would you do that? You're bidding on keywords, not ad groups.

If you dont' track keywords individually you are throwing money out the window.

There are certain keywords that I follow more closely than others but yes, you should be tracking certain words. That way you know which are working for you and which are not.

but how do you do that? and i mean track them for conversions not ctr or anything else. assuming i dont have any control of the purchase page, just an affiliate link. do i need to have a whole new adgroup and affiliate link to track each keyword? promoting a clickbank product.

i dont think there is a way to track other than vewing you click bank stats vs your adwords stats.

I am tracking by keywords only. Always check which keyword is doing well for me.

Create an ad group per keyword, there's no magic shortcut. AdWords is work:)

Its not possible to track every keyword when one has a list of 10k keywords.

Sure it is. I'd suggest the AdWords Editor for larger accounts. It's actually so useful I've even been using it for smaller accounts as well.

I'd suggest using the editor even for small accounts. That way there won't be a learning curve when you're accounts start getting larger. The Editor is great for accounts of any size IMO. The more I use it, the more I like it.
