This is a touchy one, if you believe in the bible then no there is no life on any other planet as God create earth for us and it is the only planet able to sustain life. I believe this and i am gonna stick to it until proven otherwise...

man that is not true. God is not a human being living in the sky, you've got the wrong perception. And where did you read that god created only man?
He may have created other life just we don't know. And if indeed there is no other inteligent life form out there that would be one more proof that god exists!

Of course there is more life than on earth, and that doesn't necessarily prove or dissprove the existence of God.

Are you a scientologist? Or are you referring to mice?

Actually, there is no question that "aliens" arrive on this planet on a regular basis from space in the form of bacteria and virii and other genetic material imbedded into the rocks which continuously bombard the planet. Most is destroyed on arrival. Some is not.

However, there is no evidence that any "aliens" have made a conscious effort to visit our planet. More importantly, there is no reason to believe that any intelligent alien species would be aware that there intelligent life on this planet.

Weak radio waves have only reached regions where there may be planets capable of sustaining an advanced species during the lifetime of most people at this forum. Noticing those weak radio waves as something other than background noise from space would take time. Decrypting them would take more time. Discerning their origin would take even more time . . . given that earth is no longer in the same position in space as it was when the waves left the planet. The difficulty of such an enterprise is underscored by the difficulty SETI is having uncovering anything other than background radio waves from space.

The sun is moving 240 kilometers per second through space. In one year, the earth will be 7,568,640,000 kilometers from where it is at this moment.

Such technical issues aside -- there is no guarantee any nearby alien race has reached the state where it is able to process such signals. It may also be that the nearest "technologically capable enough" alien race is 100 light years from here and is still unaware the earth is more than a planet with the potential to support life as they know it. But, that is also an uncertainty. As we are learning from the ocean depths, life can develop in environments which we previously believed were too hostile. In other words, an alien species might not believe that the earth has the correct mixture of gasses to support life. We may have too little methane.

Lastly, an alien species capable of space travel may be so different that neither it nor we are capable of perceiving the other as intelligent at any level.

The thing that can throw people off is the time factor. We've only been around with this general level of brain power for a few hundred thousands years at most. Let's say a few million just to be generous. That's a spec on the time chart just within our own galaxy so think about how easy it would be for a species to exist before or after some other one in some other part of space.

The amount of time an intelligent species may be in existence could be relatively short, especially if they might destroy themselves like we might with nukes, or suffer a catastrophic event like a meteor. Then, how long they are in existence with the technology to reach us may be relatively short. So even if there was a species smart enough to communicate with or visit us in any way, and even if they were relatively close, they could have easily come and died out a million years ago, or need another million years to even develop. Even if they reigned powerfully and advanced for millions of years, that all could have happened 300 million years ago while our dinosaurs were chomping away.
