I think that everybody should go at schools as far as he/she can. Education is one of the most important things in life.
Well, for me University is important. I'd like to go to med school and become a psychiatrist. That's not going to happen if I drop out. I guess it depends on your goals.
university is important for getting a good career. however, it is really important to know what you want before you start or you could spend alot of money without going anywhere.
School is only important to learn the 'basics' of life. Beyond that it's nothing more than a wage slave bootcamp. My advise would be to only learn and do things that genuinely interest you, that's how you will get the most out of life. In this information age we live in today, you don't need any school for that.
it depnds on the corse you are going to do, if you want to be somthing like a layer or docter then uni is a must, however if you want to be a webdesigner or graphic designer (sounds a bit like me ) then i personaly think it is not worth the cost, exspecialy now after the credit crunch. you have to decide weather if 3 -7 years experiance out weighs the litlle certificate you get when you have completed your course
I personally never want to work for anyone again, so for me a degree is nothing more than a piece of a paper that sells you to a company. I will make money on my own and a great place to start is this forum. All you need to do in this world is create a product/service > sell it > and you will make money. It's easier said than done, BUT it can be done.
I understand your frustration, but like you said, one more year and you'll graduated ...you need to continue your learning. School is important, but not crucial. The most eloquent thing for you is trying to be self confident, determined, ready for learning, open-minded
It depends ..really. Its all like pagerank... They come... you're happy.. They go.. you mourn !! I was talking about online earning btw... A degree to your name is definitely a big Plus!
I think it depends on if you're going into a job where having a degree is a requirement then yes, otherwise... I don't know, maybe.
I think that an education at a university is very important. I am a political scientist myself, and I am currently working at a university in Norway. The reason I finished my masters degree, was not because I was eager to earn money. If that was my goal, I should probably have started my own computer company when I was 18 years old. I have friends that has made a lot more money than me without a university degree. I finished my university degree because I wanted the knowledge, and I wanted to have an exciting job. Today I have both. - jens -
I'm in my first year doing a Computer Science degree, we're currently learning Visual Basic, Javascript, css and html, it's soooo boring/ easy!! I want a challenge!! That's why I want to join the TA when I graduate.
