    Do you think this theme is suitable for the niche?

    I personally think it is, and it is very bold, It has the colour scheme I want and it is different from other forums with custom changes.

    You can use different colors. This looks standart theme. If you have time, then make something different. People likes fresh colors. ;)

    I would use a light theme and modify it a lot. Us forum admins are quite picky .. you need a top looking skin to attract :)
