From what I gathered, these are 4 sure fire ways to make money using a website . Anyone has other opinions ? Tip #1: Pass the 8 second test. At first glance, a visitor should understand the purpose of your website within a few seconds. Tip #2: Tell them what's in it for them. Create clear and tangible benefits Tip #3: Use compelling images. Tip #4: Close the sale. Help your visitors take the next step. Make that step clear and easy to reach
There's no surefire way and there's no one template that works for all niches, services and products. Those are okay - though vague - as basics, but you could get all that right and if other people are offering the same as a cheaper price, you won't get the sale.
I think any set of "golden rules" for making money online has to involve increasing traffic! These are great rules for conversion though. These aren't "rules", but rather categories of marketing work to focus on when doing anything online: 1. Keyword research - finding the high traffic, low competition keywords for your area 2. Traffic - largely done through a link building program 3. Conversion - your four golden rules work well here. 4. Upsell - coming back into your existing customer base/email list and offering new products, often at a higher price point. Good hunting!
To add to it: If you are, say, selling a how-to info e-book, give free samples, tips. Put the ordering page down on the bottom of the homepage. That way when they are done reading, boom, there it is, ready for them to fill out. Do NOT make long-ass sales pages. These do not convert. Be truthful, real, down to earth, and likeable. Do NOT use opt-in pages. Most will not even bother. Show and tell them about your product, service in detail, right then and there. Don't force them to sign in, JUST so they can see it.
I like the idea of the 8 second test. There are still alot of blogs that are all over the place in terms of content on their site.
I wish i new what worked i have been trying for almost 6 months and have only made 250 dollars and that cost me 1500 in advetising
Silver maybe, but not golden. They're pretty basic, meaning they're good to follow, but you'll need more than that.
8 second test is a good idea. There are many websites outh there but not all of them are able to express their purpose.
