Do you think there is something fundamentally wrong with my site?

A quick question, i have a website with a PR0. However it has over 1500 inbound links (according to Yahoo) of websites ranging in PR with some being highly relevant independant one way links from well respected website. Now while i'm not too worried about the PR actually being 0, i'm just a bit concerned that there is something wrong somewhere thats causing Google to strip all PR value from the site. I have other sites that are much newer with much less inbound links that at least have a PR of 1 or 2. Any ideas?

    1. Write and submit articles to the article directories.
    2. Leave comments on other people’s blogs with a backlink to your site.
    3. Answer people’s questions on Yahoo! Answers - Home.
    4. Post in forums and have a link to your site in your signature.
    5. Write a press release and submit it to PRWeb::The Online Visibility Company

can you give the link to the website?

how many PR updates happened since it got all the backlinks?

Also, I don't think you should suspect "something being wrong" as long as the site is showing up in SERPs normally...

Thankyou wsitehelp. I am currently doing 3 of those 5 for the website. I hope it just needs a few more backlinks to register the PR. As i said, its not the actual page rank i am worried about, just the fact that it has quite a few backlinks and still has a page rank of 0. If anyone knows if a site can be stripped of page rank for any reasons please let me know. I personally cannot see why but i'm still learning ;)

    the url is http://www.hids4u.co.uk

Not sure on the PR updates but a lot of the backlinks have been there a couple of years.

The site ranks really well for its core keywords, but very bad for long tail stuff. I'm working on the long tail stuff now. I am also working on underpinning the core keyword rankings.

This isn't something that worries me too much, i am just a little confused by the situation.

I wouldn't so much about PR, because as long as you're ranking well, it doesn't really matter.

As far as your long tail words, it's important that they have anchor texts for the backlinks. Writing articles and submitting to sites like ezine with your keyword as the title is best for this.
