Do you think the .in sites will ever be worth something?

I am just asking because I see a lot of the good names are available with the .in. I was wondering if you think they could be worth anything in the recent future or are they a waste of time?

 

I have seen plenty of .in in market, they are generally used for file sharing and stuff like these. If you want try to invest in highly premium .in domain so that it will be easy for you to sell that domain in market in future.

 

absolutely, for a local market. India - 1.3 billion population? You may have to hold them for long till they are enough of prosper Internet users to drive the local online businesses up though

 

Yes it around 1.8 Billion. I am using India itself and India is booming country with vast internet market here. OLX.in big company with huge website. .IN worth a lot if website is very targeted and very informative with great services.

Update: File.in is for sale. You may buy it and make file sharing site. Its a great domain. GOOD LUCK!!

 

Really it depends on the .in. Some very good .in domains have already sold for respectable amounts. I expect that will only happen more and more in the future. But for every 1 good domain there are an infinite number of bad domains.

 

I recently bought a domain oceanbazar.in to launch a classified site in india. will it work guys?

 

It will work if the site is good. But you can get better names than OceanBazar.in, which is only okay.

 

That for sure , .in is India local domain extension which will lot of India local company hunt for it because it will taking advantages in Google .in search ranking. You should grab it before .IN become that limited like .com .

India is a big market, so a lot of competition.. Good Domain name is a priority so YES, it is beneficial to invest.
