Google are just testing the waters with the new +1. They are testing the responses of the people and if they find it worth the effort they will give it a full launch. It is getting a lot of attention because it is part of the Google brand. We will have to wait for the full release before we can come up with something certain.

It wont be as good as FB, even though it should have its own audience.

I wasn't thrilled about having to receive an invite just to join google+ initially. It is going to pretty difficult to attract more users than Facebook when a random person just can't sign up for an account. Google set the bar for searching the Internet and Facebook set the bar for social media. I worry in the efforts of each to outdo one another they are going to lose millions of consumers altogether. I love gmail (no spam) and google. I remember joining google wave and that didn't last too long haha.

i believe that google plus one will success.
While we find that lot of users are using Google Chrome rite now.
And Google + 1 and Google plus social media do help in the ranking.
If you notice recently, any friend share, buzzz or plus one on a website. The website will directly show on the last result of the first page in Google Search.

One nice thing about the google plus project over facebook is that you can choose which circle of friends to send posts to , instead of blasting it to all of them. :)

It is too early to give a call yet, whether or not it succeeds only time will tell. Google has a nack for keeping things simple and the Google+ let me tell you is really simple to use. The minimum number of accounts that Google allowed have already been used up even months before the full launch of the site.

I have not done much reading on Google+ but it is to early to tell if it will be a flop or not. I doubt that it will beat Facebook but if google keep working at it, it may become something big
