I changed my site from ditchtime's kind of look to a new more simplistic look that I have on fitnessthatsfun. What do you guys think? better? I'm trying to go for simple + speed
Yes I do think that simple looks good and professional but you should have better content for your site
@johny2006 - That's what I'm saying. They used to look for the most part alike until a few days ago. I thought a chat box would be a good idea because of all the pm's I get, but it hasn't seemed to catch on because many of the questions people have most of them would rather keep it private. @smart - I prefer to experiment rather than build a million dollar website. Call me weird. on a personal level FTF - I think it's going in the right direction. little too many my life posts currently, but I will learn as I go. DT - A total mess, but every site I have started was at the beginning.
Simple is the best. Leave out as many distractions as possible, so visitors will click on the ads/links on your site they want you to.
There is one secret - it is better to make it simple but not so plain that it won't be able to stand out from plenty similar sources.
Ditchtime did not work for me at all when I just went to look at it. As for fitnessthatsfun the only thing I don't like is the menu at the top for some reason. I'm not saying it's bad, just that it's not my thing. I'm going to be looking to post a story on the site soon, so let me know what your looking for.
