Since I joined Digital Forums I have grown a great deal of respect for the people that posts in here and I would really like to know how do you feel about MS security.

Is Microsoft doing a better job a keeping a secure environment in their products and services?

Yes, no or what do you think?

You can never be 100%, but I think they are on the secure side.

Hell no, Microsoft products always have security holes in them, thats why you get so many viruses.

I'd say for the most part they are secure. When problems arise they are usually good at getting things fixed in time regardless of what the anti-Microsoft fanboys will say. ;)

Most people who are anti-Microsoft are proclaiming it from behind their IMB compatible PC with Windows installed anyway so their opinion shouldn't even count. :D

Thanks for the input! Do you guys feel that MS has gotten better through the years at making their products more secure? For instance, Windows Vista seem to the best OS (based on security) they have created so far.

That's one of the most common answers I get when I ask this question. And I wonder if this will ever change. Are we branded in this thought already?

Microsoft present a large target so are open to attack -- security is never 100% and it's delusional to think it is or ever can be. Microsoft do as well (if not better) than anyone else.

That's very true, it seems that when you calculate the range in which MS' products extend, you must consider that the larger the chance of security holes, the larger the number of security issues it will confront.

I don't think they are secure enough... 'coz you know why? The hotmail.com was hacked years ago... What if for example the hotmail.com is the where the products are placed? what will happen then....:(

Nothing is completely secure, but I selected more or less, they aren't as bad as people think if you keep patched up, don't download everything you see without checking it out, have antivirus and all that.

I'd have to say yes. All the Microsoft products I've bought so far have been very secure, and they do go the extra step to make sure it is.

Microsoft can never be secure. There business is for you to upgrade to the next most secure OS they have that year. Have you not noticed that every time that a new OS comes out it's suppose to be the most secure? It's the same story every time they have a new program: More secure, faster, yadda, yadda, yadda.
