@Vaughn Hayter So many people miss that. I used them only once when I was in college. Also, I think yahoo closed those chat rooms way before MS bought yahoo...
Microsoft has hurt Yahoo. New toy for website surfers. Google is also competition always updating there search. Yahoo.com, Bing.com and google.com all have great domains for search so Yahoo is probably just stalling or faking dead till there name pays off alone for maximum returns. I heard there blog lost and there linear expantion failed.
@seomanualsubmission I think he is trying to say that yahoo is merely a toy for web surfers, nothing useful there. I did not understood the second part, "yahoo faking dead" part...
I.m saying many people are trying bing. There trying it to see how good it is. And by faking dead I mean not reinvesting much.
Madmn, I got it now. Thanks What you are saying might be true. Not sure if MS cares where yahoo is going...
I agree, They wouldn't need too till competition starts paying off more and inspires greater implementation of computer sciences.
Yahoo just never moved forward with the times and because of that they became irreverent and people drifted away, and once that happens its very hard to get them back!Internet history is full of defunct companies who thought they were the bees knees - and who's customers / users thought differently. I haven't logged in to my Yahoo account in 10 years
Today everything around and related to Yahoo reminds of all the mindless decisions that the company has taken in the past. Here is the mistake -- in hindsight -- made by Yahoo that has now led to its demise.1. Refusing to buy Google for just $1 million: Yahoo failed to gauge its biggest competitors and turned down the $1 million deal. Yes, Yahoo could have easily turned the tables if it had said yes to Larry Page and Sergei Brin when the duo approached it, selling Google. Page and Brin wanted to focus on their studies at Stanford and therefore were looking for a company to sell their small startup called PageRank system at a small amount of $1 million. Today Google is one of the most valuable companies worth over $500 billion.
Ron Peters Thanks for this info. I did not knew that those 2 scientists wanted to sell the software. I always thought it was launched as a competitor of yahoo.
