Hi, Google SEO is more than a decade old by now, Is it still worth it to invest in link building and SEO in 2011? maybe the game will change? I started this thread to discuss your opinion on this.
It's not a channel to ignore... how much time/money to spend on it is another questions. I guess it depends on where any given web site is getting most of its traffic from. I mean, if Facebook and Twitter is yielding better results than Adwords, it would seem to make sense to focus efforts there...
Google's ranking guideline I think won't change much, maybe just insisting sites to go for betterment of sites through their contents, site structure and backlinks.. but the need for SEO I think is still there no matter what, because people and business are turning into web and digital..
SEO is ever evolving, and each algorithm change will force us to determine the best way to manipulate the engines results. I think SEO will always exist, but in 5 years time it will be a completely different ball game compared to what it is today. To answer your question though, most of my online ventures gain over 80% of their overall traffic from Google, Yahoo and Bing - so it's clear that SEO is still extremely effective at this point, especially when you consider that my next biggest traffic source, Facebook, only delivers 3% of my overall visits.
There are ways and many places in the market. But of course, seo is a powerful and accurate as possible, we've found. And will remain like this for another time. So, There is no way for us to abandon it.
yeah , i think it is valued to invest in google seo , for from google , u can get more and more traffics if you indexed first !
Everything changes and evolves, including SEO. That being said, of course it's worth continuing to invest in - just invest intelligently to take advantage of what's current.
No, optimization techniques change with time and algorithms. A decade old technique, certainly cannot give you good results. So you have to change your techniques with time. A few important techniques that you must follow while optimizing your websites are,http://www.keywordcountry.com/blog/...-reveals-4-killer-seo-tips-to-his-kidnappers/
SEO is a great skill to have. The trick is keeping up with all the changes that occur. If you look at SEO from 10 years ago, it would probably look nothing like what it does now. So, where is SEO going? IMO, it is going to depend more on the social aspect of the Internet. I think the introduction of the Google +1 button is the first step Google is taking to make this happen. I think much more weight will be placed on how popular a site is in social circles as opposed to the number of links it has. It may be awhile (years) til we see the full effect, but this is the direction I think it's going.
No. I don't think it's good to invest in seo because is always changing. I think it's a fragile venture. I prefer to have affiliates (they do the seo efforts for me) and to run PPC campaigns. Just my 2 cents.
Agreed, but Affiliates and viral traffic will come if you are promoting your own product, this model needs investment, I like SEO coz with little investment you can start seeing results. However moving to the model you mentioned is a must for any serious business.
Yes you have to do the basics of SEO. Content should be relevant, useful and unique. SEO also helps with the quality score if you are running PPC.
To answer your question "Do you think it's worthwhile to invest in google SEO?" Yes, it will always be worthwhile to invest for SEO as it is a growing market with the fast paced technology advancement. More people are on the internet today than what you can see outside your house!Â
well according to new algo, its worth to invest in unique contents other then investing in backlinks..since i have seen lots of sites got hit by panda even though they were having thousands of indexed backlinks
