I would say that easter has affected my earnings and the whole of my sites visitors.

But I new that this was likely to happen as this normally happens to me on weekends and bank holidays plus some other types of holidays aswell.

I always see a drop in traffic for some of my sites, which then results in less earnings.

 

Yes, it did but it's nowhere as bad as Xmas.

Yes I think it is definately possible to earn $1000+ per day with YPN. I'm pretty sure there are people bringing in $10,000+ per month from YPN by the way.

Word... you all are dang lucky! I run a site with 10,000 uniques a day/160,000 pageviews a day, and I'm pushing $50 a day, and I've given it some dang prominent spots.

The BS factor in this thread is at an all time high.

There is no "secret" to making money with YPN or Adsense. You have to have TRAFFIC. If you don't have traffic you can tweak your ads till doomsday and it won't make a difference. It is possible to make good money with contextual advertising; you simply have to have TRAFFIC.

Anyone that tells you otherwise is selling some ebook or full of beans...

 

Getting targeted traffic is the main thing when making money from YPN and Adsense. But even tweaking your traffic can make a big difference to your earnings, which will be noticed more if you already are receiving good amounts of traffic.

Also a good attractive site and the right topic can also increase your earnings considerably.

I agree with both statements as you are also right.

Getting good quality traffic coming to your site would increase your earnings from YPN and Adsense. The more traffic the more earnings.

But if you don't optimize your ads then there could be a very big difference with your CTR to what it would be if you optimized it.

For example if you put your ads in good areas on your site where people can see them and it looks as if it is your content then you could see a very good CTR.

But if you put your ads right near the bottom of your site where they also look like ads and not a part of your site then you could be receiving at least half the amount of clicks to what you would if you optimize your ads.

Double the clickthru's results in double earnings partically.

So the better you optimize and the more traffic you get the more money you will make plus also not forgetting the type of topic that your site or webpages are based on.

Theoretically you could. But you most likely don't have the right keywords.

 

$300 a day from 1000 uniques is very good.

I get over 1000 uniques a day and I only earn about $10 from it.

It is a arcade type site where I don't get many clicks and the clicks are worth very little.

So as you can see it all depends on what topic your site is about.

Make that TARGETED traffic. You can have traffic "till doomsday" but if the visitors aren't interested in your ads they simply won't click.
