Do you think internal links give weight to your root domain in the google rankings?

If you get a lot of links to an internal page, would this push the root url up in the rankings for its main keyword?

 

In my experience what happens is that if your internal page ranks high for a certain keyword, and your domain homepage also ranks for that keyword -but not as strong as the internal page) you will get a double result in teh SERPS. Your internal page will be listed and indented with the homepage listed above it

 

and also it boosts your sites links juice to the home page thats why sometimes sites who dont have incoming links from outside their domain but a lot of internal links get atleast a PR of 2-3.

Yes it does, already experienced that once. your internal page ranks it also does the same to your homepage for that specific keyword. Also in doing SERP, you'll get a great result.

 

It depends on the competition of the particular keywords.

If the particular keywords have more competition then its better to go for internal link structure for that structure.

So, its good to give internal links.
