Do you think in India spoken English is path breaker? To make career in big MNC how many you guys have faced and how you resolved this problem? Guys one of mine friend come from my village and he 75% can speak and understand English and but he wants to make his career in BPO Company. Can you guys help me to know about those companies who are paying to employee with training? I think it would be very good to help some one who is looking job. Thanks
Yes, there is lot of craze for learning spoken English in India. Many students prefer to study abroad for their better future.
I have seen guys with poor English working in MNCs and BPOs. I am not really sure how good or bad your friend is but initially he needs to give a lot of interviews to get selected. Even if he is average at English speaking, he can get a job at a domestic BPO. I don't think English training helps much. If he has studied English all thorough his school life, he just needs to practice speaking with friend or family members who are good at it. However, I am aware that standard of schools in villages is not that high. If he wants to get trained, he should join a premier institute like British Council. But again, I would not highly recommend joining a training institute as most of the them are not worth it. If you are referring to someone companies that provide training to employees while they are being payed, most of the international BPO companies do so but their selection procedure is a bit though (not much) and they don't provide basic English training.
