Title says it all: Do you think that Google+ would be as popular as is now without Google company? Do you think it would reach 10m in few days/weeks without Google company itself?

 

that's not possible...without google it is nothing. it is head to head with FB only because of google.

 

In my opinion it can be because they have already experience on which basis they can adopt such techniques which can help them taking lead in this field.

Yes its true that if Google + was not launched by Google it wont get any value. Since facebook already capture the entire market. Google works as brand name here and that's why people think that they should at least use Google+ since Google launched it.
Personally i believe Google+ can't get any value if it is not supported by Google.

This is a really weird question.
I still say that Google+ WOULDN'T EXIST without Google.
Since Google+ contains the word "Google", no one else could have created it except Google themselves.


In response to your second unrelated question it would be like saying "would Amazon be as popular as it is if it had another owner?"
The answer is we don't know, and we never will!
Of course their popularity would be different, but no one can tell if it would be better or worse.

Google+ is social networking portal and a great way to move traffic towards your site. It will affect the page rank of the website I am not sure it depends on the search engines but it is nice way for the brand promotion.
