This is a silly question. Do you know what was the greatest company ever? It was not Microsoft, Google, GE, GM or Exxon Mobil. It was the East India Company, which owned much of the Indian subcontinent, Singapore and parts of Malaysia. Just where is it now? Imagine what it would be worth today if it held onto most of its "possessions".

Something's gotta come along to replace Google, Twitter, & Facebook. Newer = more exciting and popular.

Good question, but a better one might be to look at it this way. People are finding more and more ways to find their news, and answers to their "searches" which inevitably eats away at the market share of Google, even if no direct competition exists.

Well a new search engine can come up any time, but I don't really think it would beat Google. As for popularity Facebook already took over Google in that matter.

Right now, I don't think so.. Changes will really come for Google and I am excited to see that and how Google would respond to these changes.

Why would Google be in trouble with Larry Page as the CEO? I mean, he was the co-founder of the company. Paul Allen seems to have done a decent job maintaining Microsoft's control after Bill Gates retired.

I didn't say that Google is now in trouble when Larry Page took control as CEO. Look around or at least read around more often, you'll see why Google is already in a shit state even before Larry Page took over.

Yes, Google is the major Search Engine. I agree with that, but the popularity of Facebook is getting more increased as time goes by. It isn't impossible that Facebook will get to the #1 position on website rankings.

    Nothing, but nothing is certain
I recommend you the book: "Black Swan" - N. Taleb
Google is no 1 today, but tomorrow(few weeks,months,years...)? Nobody knows.
