I think there is some thing not normal pages get indexed but never on search results more than once I faced this especially for competitive kw. I did the SEO the right way I used to do it before, but I think its not normal, any body experienced similar cases, or agree with me
Two weeks ago i lost all my rankings (authority sites for the matter) in 4 sites. Still (all of them) at 5th page...
Many people lost PR in the last 2 weeks but the question is....will Goog do the Quarterly update in a couple of weeks like they are supposed to?
Nop, all regular work, unique content. And this is what makes me sad: now there's a lot of shitty sites ranking high, even sites not related to niches Bad job by Google.
Yes, they are updating their algorithm. Also they have devalued directory links, which affected the page rank.
I think Google has put more weight on the timing factor. i.e. when you are adding your links and the trends of people to add links, if you try to rank for a niche already has people ranked long ago, google shows more resistance to such cases
If all of us just stopped checking out these PR updates, SERPS, etc, I think we would all live a better life
Yes i have noticed this also during the last 2 weeks, i will create a page and it will get cached. Then i search for a unique piece of text from the page in quotes, and there is no find. Also there is tons of .edu redirect spam for certain queries, the results right now have been horrible. I've been using Yahoo more the past week and it's quite good the only thing i hate is their cluttered homepage.
Yeah i know, but Matt said a week ago it was fixed and we all should be seeing the normal results again but things are still bad.
See things like this: http://i36.tinypic.com/tajw3s.png On one query i just done, 10 sites in a row 8 were .edu spam redirects going to the same page of ads and only 2 were legitimate sites. 80% spam isn't fixed.
I see same stuff all over top queries in Europe... The glitch isn't fixed at all. Even blogs with nothing more than 5 lines of text are ranking #1 and #2 for some really major keywords. Awful.
