Google effect only low quality website who have copy content, low quality back links and high bounce rate. This rule is apply on every website or blog including word press and blogger.

Google LOVES wordpress. If there's a problem with your site, it's probably more like that you got copied by an autoblog or something. Trust me, Wordpress is very good for SEO. 90% of my top ranking sites are Wordpress.

No, not at all. I have sites that weren't affected by the update and they're all WP.

I don't think the Panda algorithm is anywhere near perfect, so it comes as no surprise that others are affectd more than other platforms

The truth is that Google favors Blogspot over WordPress which I think they are jealous about. Ofcourse they are gonna favor Blogspot - it's their own.

If you have any affiliate links, specially Amazon, Google will penalize you and tell you that you "do not have enough original content" which is just an excuse because some sites have more than enough original, well written content.

Looks like Panda is just the beginning for the Google corporation to start favoring big companies and start getting rid of the little guy who wants to make a few dollars with their blogs.

But let it be no doubt - Google DOES have favorites - just like everyone else.

Dear Soniqhost - if you truly believe that then please continue living in your heavenly carefree world.

I'm already moving my whole operation to the next level where Panda can't touch it... yet.

I'm happy for you if you have no ranking complaints. But for me - if it don't make dollars it don't make sense.

Ezine got royally Fckd and so did many other people trying to earn an honest wage. Anyways, I'm glad you guys are smiling.

I found a better way to keep internet money rolling in - so I'm all good. ;)

Dont quote me on this, BUT

if you have a lot of outbound links on your site, google basically hates you.
I pretty much think they dont even care, or the penalty is minimal below pr 5, but with the last update, the only thing that change on one of my sites that went from PR6 to pr 5 was I sold a few more links on my main page.

I also had my pr 9 go to pr8 because of (presumably) 2 links on my main page. I also believe I was barely a pr 9 anyway.

anyway, you might want to check that your main page isnt too link heavy. google doesnt seem to like that, and a ton of WP sites do that.

Also, captain obvious here, but google owns blogger, so ya... all the BS they claim about not showing favoratism to their own sites... yea BS, that being said... I dont think google hates wordpress. I have some pretty hefty Page rankings on a lot of wordpress sites.

I ALSO think that google has it set in their mind that there are X PR 10 sites (aroudn 150?) Y pr 9 sites. z pr 8 sites, and so forth... these numbers are somewhat fixed... so when your site is downgraded, its not that you are any worse than before, but there is just that much more competition on the internet for those limited slots.... Think of it this way, your site was say pr 6 before, because there wasnt enough competition in the PR 6 bracket. if you do nothing, then more sites become better than yours, so you get pushed out.

And I don't know why there was a link on my last comment - I have nothing to do with whatever that link is selling. That's really annoying. I'm not trying to sell anyone a damn thing.

My opinion is that WordPress is the best platform when you want maximum seo for your site i have seen many such websites who have WordPress installed and rank very well for very competitive keywords.
