google analytics report is good.. i believe in it.. but yahoo site search report is better.. i like to use both...
the new google code give more results then there last code, but still i think they do actually miss out of alot of traffic if you compare it with awstats.
tools are tools. So don't say any tool provide 100% accurate results. It depend on tool some tools tracking hits, visitor, server etc. But no any tool have guarantee. I am using Google analytic for many days. it provide good results. It is best analytic tool. Inkjet Printer | Corporate Awards
I have tried Woopra and Google Analytics. Woopra track live visitor where in analytics take some time to show that stats. But, when we talk about the detailed information and visitor tracking, I think Google Analytics is best.
Yes u can say Google analytic give more accurate result then other tools so we can trust google analytics more than other tools.
If the stats is very important to you you can try "Urchin". It basically is Google Analytics that you can run on your server. You can adjust the log format that you use and can make heavy customize to it. It doesn't limit you with 25 account per email nor has the 5,000,000 impression limit. Its easy to install too. The only thing is it doesn't come cheap and does require your own server to run it. But you can optimize it to fit your own need
I trust the Google analytics much more than all the rest such as the awstats and i find it very accurate when the page loads normaly (i have noticed some mistakes when the page was not loading, unlike awstats that reports every traffic on the server) I also love the fact of being able to link it with my adsense account so i can analyze my earnings and create better targets.
Not 100% accurate but it shows the results from browsers with java script enabled... If your browser doesn't have Java Script enabled then your result will not be Google Analytics database.
yea, probably the combine force between awstats and analytics can provide a more in depth data for your site's traffic.
I know it by personal experience that GA dont trace all the traffic But i dont believe there is any Analytics that will do it
Even I have experienced some data loss or may be GA is not able to track all the data. This can only be cross checked if some one is using at least one extra tool to track its website traffic. this way one can get 2 sets of data and a thorough comparison between the two data sets can give a fair picture of Google's analytic. May be, someone would have done so?
