I am posting regulary in forums and blogs that are Do Follow. But today I read one article where someone says google doesnt count these links in blogs and forums. I am a bit worried I am wasting my time, because my concern is mainly for Search Engine Optimization. So I ask here maybe something that a lot of people has asked, but I want opinion from people that work on backlink building that way if it works for them.
Hello, Google counts every link that is inbound to your website, then their algorithm determines what weight that links gets and adds it to the total value of your website. Google stated that no link pointing to your website can harm your website in rankings. As for the forum and blog links, these should count better as long as the forum/blogs are on the same topic of your website. Hope this helps
Google embodied the link which you left in some dofollow website,and even though some website are not dofollow,you posting enough ,it also have backlink for you.
You're not wasting your time. Posting to forums and blogs that are do follow is a great strategy to boost search engine ranking. Don't believe articles that says search engines don't count it as a link. But take note, forums and blogs must be related to your niche. Getting links from high pr site that are related to your niche would be better.

I feel posting in forums is a great way to build links. It should not be your only method thou. Incorporate article marketing, blog commenting, blogging etc. More links pointing to you from different venues the better.

Google knows what a forum is from other pages. That is why page posts and last author now shows up in google search results. As a result, google discounts forum signature links. They also discount blog comment links.
It's never mind whether I think or you that forum/blog posting is working for seo or not. When Google thinks Forum/Blog posting is necessary for SEO then my answer will be YES and if Google'll don't like forum / blog posting then my answer will be NO for your asked question. Yes, It will increase backlinks which is helpful for SEO. But it will more helpful if forums & blog will be related to sites...
every links count as back links, but depend on quality, so we don't know how google check link weight.we can do keep on building links from same niche.
My dear that is not true. You are not wasting your time by posting on forum and so many people are doing forum and blog posting which are dofollow, for gaining backlinks to their site and it works.
