DP is the second webmaster forum I've used. The first got me a copywriting contract worth a month's income. Hanging around the DP forum has led to only a few small jobs so far - but a lot of interesting conversation.

The big contract was nice, but for someone who works from home for about 14 hours a day there can be no substitute for human contact when it all gets a bit too much. Places like this keep me sane, and I'm glad I found it. Keep up the good work, guys and gals.

I don't think there's any best or worst, no forum can be all things to all people. DP is more relaxed than WMW, which can certainly be over-moderated at times. I've never been struck on Sitepoint, not sure why, and I sometimes visit WebProWorld, but whilst the discussion there is good, the forum software itself is not very usable and I find it annoying.
