I was thinking about introudcing a revenue sharing system on a site of mine and just wonder if this would actually increase the amount that I receive across a month? It would be based on sharing adsense revenue like here at DP forums. Do you think DP make more now than they used to?
I would be interested to know this and if the people who submit their adsense code make anything. I'm thinking about doing it but not sure if it's worth anything?
While I have no facts to back this up I would be surpraised if they did not earn more now. Content build popularity, the 50 post requirement for revenue sharing build content quicker as those who are interested in trying this will get those 50 posts in as fast as possible. I am not sure I would risk my AdSense account on a site I could not control. I will need to think about this before I do it. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this concept, just that I need to think about it first. gene
That is the main point. Content is the king. I prefer the content to earning more because content allows you to earn more in the future even if your initial action do not return you money immediately. That is the basic mistake of some other webmater forums. DP owner detects this very successfully (signatures, revenue sharing..). So even if dp's income might decrease initially, i think they already should get enough user/content to obtain more money and content! In my opinion the webmaster should concentrate on the list below with given order: 0. idea 1. content 2. stable traffic 3. backlinks and seo 4. earnings So if you dont ignore the relative importance of these in your actions, in my opinion you are using the best way.. Revenue sharing gives importance to idea and content and ignore earnings a little bit. At the end you are earning more in the long term!
Yep, I would say that the revenue sharing program did help to earn more. The reasons for this is because it really helped the growth of this forums by giving back some of its revenues to it's users.
