with and without quotes "Decent Site" my site is ranking #1 in Google! is that a good key word worth mentioning the #1 rank in Google? Decent Site
That is probably because your site url is what you are targeting, but it is always good to be #1 in Google.
In my opinion the term 'decent site' is not worth ranking for. A key-phrase is only worth ranking for if it returns visitors. Unfortunately the term 'decent site' is not searched for so will not give you any traffic. I would suggest using a keyword tool and try researching other key-phrases. A good tool I use is http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword/suggestions/
For the name DecentSite.com and the site being a Bidding Directory what is a good key word I can target? Any suggestions? Thanks
You might want to check out the overture.com network to see how many people are actually typing in these keywords. But "decent site" doesn't target anything specific.
I am not sure, my site is new like week old.. so, I don't know the real stats. May take few months for me to get some clues. Is there any other way to find that info?
At a quick glance 'great website' doesn't look too difficult, and it would be a great ego-booster to come first for...
Keyword = Marketing Logic. This is the first thing that should be implemented prior to undertaking SEO for a keyword term. You have basically wasted your time.....
What about some one bored and looking for some Decent sites to browse? -- Hope I get some good traffic with that #1 position in Google.
Some one just pointed to me that there are 14,000,000 resutls for that keyword. Decent Site if that keyword is not searched at all, why would all the peope target that keyword? Based on that or the fact that google index show that many resutls for that keyword it is all that bad.
Okay so someone pointed out where the terms reside anywhere on a webpage. [SIZE=-1]Results 1 - 10 of about 14,000,000 for decent site Now if we add the SEO Pimp Dust to the query Results 1 - 10 of about 67,200 for decent site [/SIZE] I just eliminated 13,932,800 competitors Actually the second set of numbers is the number of pages with the words next to each other. Competing pages mean nothing more than how easy it is to obtain front page results. But the most important thing one can do before undertaking an SEO campaign is keyword research. This took me all of two minutes to accomplish Wordtracker No data for phrase: decent site Overture best that could be found dating decent free online site totally 1.0 /day Google decent site No data [Very low advertiser competition] [Very low advertiser competition] decent website No data [Very low advertiser competition] [Very low advertiser competition] This is an alarm of sorts to me not to waste the clients, time nor my own. And thats the way to SEO Pimp your site
The number of pages indexed for that phrase is an indication of the number of websites that have used the words 'decent' and 'site' within the text on the website. They are both common/reguarly used words! So, 14,000,000 results for the key-phrase 'decent site' does not mean there are 14,000,000 sites specifically targeting that key-phrase.
siu00as, Sem-Advance Ok based on your theory it is kind of useless to have this keyword. Can I get some suggestion on what key word is best beased on the url/my bidding directory? Thanks
Finding a good key-phrase to target for a directory is quite a tricky task! They seem very competitive with little reward in terms of visitor numbers. If I was making a directory, I'd avoid going for anything with the term 'bidding' or 'bid' because it doesn't look like it would have many searches. I would look for a key-phrase containing the term 'site' as it is contained in your url title. Play around with the keyword tool I linked to earlier, enter words like 'site' 'link' and 'directory', hopefully you will be able to find a few suitable key-phrases. Sorry I can't be much more help!
web master resource 105.4 /day add your link 1,069.9 /day suggest link 762.3 /day The bottom two would be the best to target.....
