Do you think creating internet hoaxes is a crime

    Why should it be a crime? Nobody was hurt by this, and it exposed an inconsistency in state laws regarding sex and marriage rights. Some pranks go too far, such as the fake CNN.com story about the death of Dave Matthews (I've apologized multiple times for that, let's move on), but this one clearly has a purpose and the characters are all fictional.

    may be you don't care, but someone does.

    like there was one site that i forgot the name, the owner claim that either he get money or he is going to kill a cat. A lot of people wasted time on that matter (may be they are stupid, but still...)

    It depends what the hoax is. I disagree with that particular hoax - the idea that some dribbly old pervert could be getting his rocks off at the prospect of marrying a 14 year old girl. That's just wrong.

    On the otherhand the 'Gmail paper' and 'Pigeon Rank' hoaxes perpetrated by Google have been quite humerous and harmless.
