Do you think changing blog theme frequently is a good thing?

There seems to be a controversy about changing your blog theme frequently. some people say it is a nice way to give your blog a fresh look

Others say it is bad for branding your blog because your visitors can't nurture a picture of your blog in their mind.

What is your take on the issue?

 

Hmm.. Different people have the different taste. But Technically Its not necessary to change or not.

 

What is the point? Think of "Art"... do you repaint the picture? Get it right the first time and move on.

If it ain't broke, don't "fix it".

 

My personal opinion about themes, is that I don't change theme if it is not necessary. It's good to choose a theme at the beginning, at theme that is customizable. So, later you can customize it to the look you want.

I change my theme once per year. Just to keep me afresh with a new look

It can be so inward changing the theme often when there are mosre pressing things to do like update content and create fresh new content. And it does nothing for maintaining your brand or presence if there is a constantly evolving theme. I agree with minimal changes / or an annual update as suggested by teamnirvana.

 

Tweaking it is good, but full-out changing it frequently can get annoying.

 

Tweaking, and non-drastic new colours to a similar layout is good - but only annually or so.. Changing regularly just puts people off 'cause they never know where they stand..

 

I think it's good to change your theme for improvements. If there are some aspects that need to be changed, then change it. But not to the point to change it frequently. I think it's better to do this annually.

 

If anything it's detrimental - people will remember your blog for its colors, layout, theme, etc. The more you change it, the more you lose your brand identity.

I favor 'updating' (adding things but keeping the overall layout) rather than replacing a theme.

 

Personally, I think its a bad idea. You want people to be familiar with your site.

 

Everyone has different tastes.
But a good theme could also be attract visitors to your blog.
But some people do not pay attention to your theme and just focus on the content of your blog.

I think changing theme to some simple one is the best thing what you can do Just choice simple and easy theme for your blog

 

I changed mine added new graphics and a new layout and doubled my income the past 3 days.
It can happen in vise versa also.

Just text it and find something that works.

It think changing once or twice is a good thing because everything around us is changing. So "change" is good. Also make sure that your content of your blog matches the theme.
