Do you think blog directories are worth my time submitting to?

    I have a blog and I wonder if you guys actually submit your URL to these blog directories? Sometimes they want you to put a button on your blog to link back.

    Is there an automated way of submitting my blog to these directories?

    Sure - RSS submit.

    However, having used it a few times, the most visible ones jumplink your blog links anyway, and many just don't show up, so I'm not bothering with blog directories anymore.

    The links in comments are useless - but the single link by the blog owner himself could boost your rankings, especially if the blog is popular (checked myself)

    There are less than 10 blog directories worth submitting too. The other are, literally, junk.

    Here's one that's FREE to 9 dir or pay $3 to submit to 24 of the main ones. I have used the paid version and it works fine.

    Then I use PingGoat for pinging which has the largest list.
