To all the people that are saying that if they had the money, they'd donate too, and that he isn't a good guy just by donating, then how do you explain all the work and time him and his wife spend maintaining his charity? How do you explain the millions of lives hes saved? How do you explain his job, and essentially his home, just to help other people as a phailianthrophist?

Well, I prefer Bill Gates to Steve Jobs, atleast he does not lie about his products, Steve Jobs highlights the flaws of other products, and because of his moghty fan-following, people defend the flaws of his products, and therefore I like Bill Gates.

Since we are comparing both the Apple and Microsoft camp, let's throw in Linux too. Do you think Linus Torvalds is good? :p

I think he has matured over the years, and is now trying to do what he can to be a better person. Hes not donating to charity because he wants to write off taxes, consider the fact that he is donating almost his entire fortune to charity is a huge gesture towards his generosity. He has also stepped down from work at Microsoft, to focus his time towards his foundation. It would be a different if he was writing checks for a few million her and there to keep his image up. I think he will be remembered as the next Andrew Carnegie. as a person face to face i know as much as the rest of you.
