Do you think BANS is worth it?

I am turning a small profit (few hundred a month) on my BANS sites (I have 11) and I was thinking about tossing up 90 more. Do you think BANS is losing steam with Google and Yahoo search engines?

I might just need to tune up my keywords and descriptions to pull in the search users.

    What do you think?

Its a script that handles the ebay partner network API stuff and is used to show a niche store to viewers.

    Build A Niche Store

Heres my example of a BANS site. my niche store is coffee makers -
    http://www.fruitydirectory.com/coffee-makers

Better to work on current 11, you can get few hundreds a month just with 1 store and kinda easily, it's all about niche mainly. Drop those which you don't want to work with anymore, or those which were failure or maybe even develop them more if you think you can make them successfull.

Why people bashing so great CMS like BANS ?

Top 25 affiliates of ebay make more than 6 digits a month.

The BANS market is getting pretty saturated. Niches are getting harder and harder to find. I'd stick with the 11 and improve on them.

    SEOLinker...BANS is not a CMS, it's a script

Forget about the BANS.. Make sure you can get some content and target that. Cuz Google has been killing everyone in the SERP's for the Ebay feed stuff.

I don't know if I want to purchase anymore domain names if the market is going downward on search engines.

I purchased AuctionDojo.com and I plan on making it a BANS auction portal. My first one is http://craftsman.auctiondojo.com

That way I can add 90 more bans sites without costing me a dime.

I wonder how subdomains do on SEO and placement.

I've read several things lately about how Google no longer considers subdomains as separate sites, and is now treating them just like directories. So you may want to do a bit of research before going crazy with subdomains. Than said, I still use them (subdomains) for my EPN stores, and haven't noticed any SEO issues.

Don't forget, there are a few free alternatives to BANS (if you want avoid the BANS footprint) - such as TWP Auctions (yes that's mine) and McJiffy.

I heard there was a plugin for wordpress that did bans type listings. For the life of me, I cannot find it!

As far as the subdomains go... that kinda sucks but as long as all the links are on the main portal page and I keep a sitemap on the main page up to date with all links from the subdomains, there shouldn't be an issue. Search engines will just crawl all of them as a single site I guess.

TWP Auctions can run in Wordpress - it's not a plugin though.

You can also add the php plugin for wordpress and just add in a single include line in a post/page. I have a script I modified that simply parses the feed from ebay. It uses a simple template file that the CSS formulates very nicely to the theme of your wp site.
