So my girlfriend tells me that .asia could become big in the future, seeing as so much is shifting into said region. Any thoughts on whether domain names ending with .asia will be worth a lot?
its ok if you are in asia and in need of asian viewers "only" try to get .com though instead of fancycars.com get fancycarz.com rather than having fancycars.asia good luck with your domain seeking
If you are looking to make money by selling domains, I wouldn't invest in .asia. However if you are starting some Asia centric business, a .Asia domain could be good if you get the right domain name.
dont belive the hype .co is crap when most people will type in .com / I think .asia is a joke and useless for commercial development but my favorite color is pink and I smoke weed so maybe I'm crazy, who knows.
I would rather avoid 4 letter domain names. See what happened to .info despite being a top level generic TLD.
.asia is a piece of crap extention, personally I wouldn't waste my money on it Why does she say that? Is she very active domainer?
I would stay away from the .asia extension personally, especially if you are looking to resell these domains and not develop them.
Firts Off all the domains are goods, but you can use for example, travel.asia, and put info about vacations on asia, you shpul know what is your web site content!
Sounds good for domain "hacks" (eg fant.asia). Don't think it'll be the next big thing though. It's a region domain and longer than the mainstream ccTLDs (com, net, org). For example, .DE domains are "hot" these days, even in cases where .EU might be available. Never get a "z plural" alternative. It's a clear sign of your immatureness. It might work for creating some unique singular-word name though (eg Zteroid instead of Steroid).
God knows when .asia will become good enough to beat .com but for now and in coming future years, .com is king of all and will always stay on top of all extensions
