When you sell through EPN, you only get a part of the ebay final value fees, but with Amazon, you get a commission based on the price paid of the item. According to ebcalc.com, fvf on something that sold for $100 would be about 3.20. Assuming you get 50 percent of that, you would earn 1.60 for that sale. On Amazon, an item that sells for $100 could get you anywhere from $4 on up. (Sorry if my math is a bit off, I should've been asleep an hour ago.) However, that may not be an issue if you have a great niche site for ebay and a lot of visitors that want what you have on your site. I think a lot of it depends on what you're selling and who your market is. For example, I probably would never buy electronics from ebay but I would buy them from Amazon. However, if I were looking for sports memorabilia, then I would definitely look on ebay. Personally, I think it's best not to have all your eggs in one basket, so you might want to try both of them, at least till you find out which one works for you.
It is true that sales has slowed down a bit with ePN. I should have clarified my comments to include the ACRU variable. If you are lucky enough to get them, that will push you higher in revenue over Amazon. If you are looking just straight commission on the sale, Amazon wins out.
If you do it right, eBay is also better from a SEO point of view since listings are constantly changing, whereas if you are showing Amazon products, not much changes for weeks so you have to do more work yourself to feature different products etc. etc. Also, since eBay is changing all the time, it is easier to find a niche and beat others to the SE traffic, whereas Amazon has a major footprint problem since there are 1000's of sites out there all advertising exactly the same products using exactly the same text.
i did not have any luck with amazon but epn is working great for me now except the problems with epn..
Yes I think so Because I am very poor understand eBay strategies, but Amazon I think I know much better.
ePN is a great program. Just read their censored and sanitized forum. You won't find a single negative post in the lot.
I have a super hard time with Amazon. EPN returns much more in my case. I'm trying to get Amazon more in the picture to be diversified, but it's hard. hanji
epn is nice and amazon is a little better but amazon's 60 day payout period + min $100 payout hurts. With min $10 you can get a gift cart, but still would prefer $$.
