especially to those of you that make a lot of money through affiliate marketing/seo/parked domain stuff... do you tell friends what you do for a living? if you do tell them, aren't you afraid that people will start taking your ideas and picking you brain too much? edited to say: if you don't tell them, what do you tell them you do?
Well you do have to watch out for this..Or you could just do what me my brother and his wife did and make Explicit Entertainment Of Southern Cali. We all work together with our online projects and get things done faster because of it. IN answer to your question yes I do.
Most of my friends just think I'm sitting at home twiddling my thumbs... I told a few people initially, but got way too many negative people telling me not to waste my time, so I prefer to do it this way now.
i tell my family, but then friends i don't. my friends know that am doing something on internet, perhaps making websites! but the don't actually know what am up to
Most of my friends and family know what I do, and I don't see any problem in telling them, if they profit from what I tell them, all the better.
i do tell them when they. most of my friends had an idea of what i do but my family dont understand it well and i don't like explaining either. but i help them most of the time w/ computer/internet/tech stuff.
I don't, not because they might steal my ideas but because it just takes too much time to explain to the non-webmaster
I just tell them i'm doing business online Anyway they don't understand they used to laugh about it but when they see how mutch i earn they shut up ...
not many people understand this thing, so its better to not tell them , although my mates & relatives are very inqusitive.
Like others, I try not to tell because almost nobody ever understands. I am constantly looking for someone to go into business with but can never find someone I trust.
i tell them and they don't get me. so we're better off just talking about stars and beaches and summer .
