Do you notice a strong correlation between income and pausing content release? What length of pauses are we talking about? Days, weeks, or months? Thanks.
It's always good to take some days off to clear your mind, to get some rest and then there will come new and fresh ideas. You are not a robot, so yes, you should take some days off from time to time.
Well, it is recommended to shedule the content and do regular postings. The exception may be in case you have some big news and can't help sharing it with your audience. For example, if you used to publish one post per week and then make a pause for let's say 2 weeks you will not get your followers' attention. If you are a seller and post some special offers, you may lose some part of your income by being silent for a while.
Here's a great tip. Get in the habit of writing multiple posts. I'm talking like 2-3 posts a day. There will be days you slack off. There will be days you don't "feel it". So you end up writing one post. You may feel like you failed, but in reality, you still posted content for that day. Your visitor got a new post. Think of posting content as working out. The more you do it, the better you get and the stronger you can communicate with your readers. Don't fall into the "days off" trap because you may keep taking days off then your visitors don't get new content. Speaking from experience. Like some of the other commenters said, it's a good idea to schedule your content, so make sure you create evergreen content for this purpose.
