    never. there is no need to submit to SEs as they will find your site thru backlinks and index them anyways. why do extra work that will not do you any good?

    There is no need to submit our site in SEs & if u will submit it again & again then they will banned or penalized the site.

    At other side, if we will regularly keep updated to it then SEs will automatically visit & indexed it :)

    Only one time will do. You need not to frequently submit your site to Google or Yahoo for them to indexed it. They will automatically ping your site and update their search results.

    There's no need to index your site multiple times on Search Engines like Yahoo!, Google, Live...
    You can add your URL, and once your site get's indexed, search engines will check your site more regularly.
    To improve crawl rating on search engines i'd recommend you to try:

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/ (Google) or;
    https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites (Yahoo).

    Add your sitemap or RSS feed on above sites, and your site will be crawled regularly!

    I don't send my site on search engine, I let them find my site on other sites linking to my site. But I also submit my sitemap on google webmaster tool.

    SEO's? I guess you meant SE's.

    Anyway, it's no matter if to submit directly or not.

    As long that you have quality content, optimized pages and quality backlinks - the SE's will find you anyway.

    Altough it is no longer needed, you can submit you site to the SEs (ONLY ONCE) if you want to. See http://www.catanich.com/search-engine-submission.asp at the bottom for the links.

    You then set up the Webmaster Tools account and start submitting an XML Sitemap. We create a new XML Sitemap weekly to "assist" Google in indexing the site quicker.

    We have also added the following to our robots.txt file

    # Robots.txt file created by 10/22/2008
    # For domain: http://www.catanich.com

    # All other robots will spider the domain
