Say you have a list of social bookmarking sites.

Do you resubmit the same page and if yes how many times would you do it and over what time frame,

    thanks,

Indeed, if I can. The niche of my sites can make a huge difference in which ones or how many I tag though, as most of my sites are of an occult/new age theme, and many of the bookmarking sites just don't cater to my needs.

Generally though, I just stumble, as I use the service anyway.

I don't think you actually read anything other then the first line of the original post which in many ways makes your reply look like the bright green name does in fact mean n00b :p

I still don't understand why you will submit the same page to the same site multiple time. Yes, submitting the same page to multiple site has benefits.

I think that your second statement here was more inline with the original question...
However, I would like to say that submitting the same site, with multiple accounts can certainly have it's perks....though if found out can get all accounts and the site itself banned.

I'll submit once in a week. But I'll submit new pages for every time I have posted in my blog...

Is social bookmarking still good as in does it still have any effect? I thought it was a waste of time as most links are nofollow and these sites get spammed with links.

Install stumble, and stumble. Regardless of whether or not the links are followed by bots, they are hit up by people. Granted, most of the traffic just passes through as they stumble on to the next site, but they are people... and some of them click ads, some of them book mark the page, and some convert of buy or whatever... though stumble does only seem to work well if the page you submit is actually WORTH the 20 seconds it takes to read the page. If it's not, then those links get buried with [IMG].

Digg works much the same way... yes, the links are nofollow, but once you get an article WORTH reading, you'll find that 1000 [IMG] can make a real difference.

I've never used Delicious as a social tool, but on a personal level, I use it more then any other social bookmarking site, because it just works for me and suits my needs as I see them. So any effects from there are indirect... though, I once got a member on my forum by clicking through one of my bookmarks there, so YAY for Conversion ;)

Your millage may vary, but keep in mind, use the social media sites as they are meant to be used and not as a method of spam, and you'll find that they will give you perks and are, for the most part, worth it in the long run.

Like don't Digg EVERY article you write (you'll get banned)... wait till you impress yourself, or one that you wrote while filled with passion on the topic. You'll find it goes much further.

The same applies to Stumble... you'll find that the more you use it like it should be used ( [IMG] more then just your pages) the better the results are.

I have started submitting to social bookmarking sites using Onlywire which I was advised to do. But i got an email from one of the sites (Simpy) asking why I hadn't submitted anything. When I replied saying I used Onlywire, they told me only spammers used Onlywire.
Can I have some views on this?

    Thankyou
    Barb.

Bookmarking gets you a link from the site and half the time for "ME" 4 or 5 will be on the first page of a search for a short time for my keyword,

like any tool it can be abused, onlywire just makes things a little easier
