I have heard peopel argue endlessely over whether or not submitting to PR0 directories is a complete waste of time or actually a good investment in the long run. -sometimes a owner of a pr0 directory will promote it and gain higher pr -sometimes they will give up on it after they realize it wont be profitable for them what do you think?, Im am curious how this poll will turn out
I do submit if it is an easy to use script like phpld...I use roboform and it takes not more than 5 seconds to submit per site. You never know which directories would become big...I do it as an investment. Many of the directories may vanish in next few months, but even if 3-5 of the 200 odd new ones that I find each month do well in the long run, it is worth.
Why not? Because hundreds, if not thoudands, are added every day. I am a firm believer in supporting upcoming sites, but you have to show some selection somewhere.
Yeah..I'd look at the domain's first..If it's an expired domain or a strange one that has nothing to do with directory, and the dir owner just wants to earn some quick cash. Then I won't waste my time on it.
Only if one the following conditions is true. - I know the owner; - As a unique design; - Already shows strong backlinks.
i always submit to pr0 sites, this is not waste of time, you get a backlink and some traffic. later when the directory will have better pr it will benefit more and more
I will just watch their initial days.. and if being promoted well and are able to create few back links, then why not!
Personally I don't bother checking the PR of a directory. If it's free to list my site, I'll go ahead and submit - if I notice it being advertised here on DP that is. I don't actually think directory listings are very important anyhow, so I don't go hunting for directories to get listed in.
I've submitted to many pr0's. Not on purpose, I don't check like others don't as well, but there's always a chance for it to become higher, and nothing wrong with being one of the first, right?
