I usually do, when I quickly need anchor text for some easy to optimize keywords. Even cheap $1-2 links usually do the trick.

at harmu.com i never accepted any casino links, always rejected them and refunded, but now it's sold and the new owner wants to keep those listings!

bidding directories are just like any other directory, with the ability to select more visibility of the listings, besides i did not wanted to have casino links just as a personal preference,

    http://www.google.com/Top/Recreation/Collecting/Themes/Gambling/
    http://dir.yahoo.com/Recreation/Gambling/
    http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Gambling/

if these can keep gambling sites, why can't any one else:rolleyes:

Yep, i do sometimes submit to bidding directories some times!!

Actually the casino sites that usually gets submitted to these bidding directories are not the actual casino sites where people play casino, rather it's informational websites which tells us which casino are cheaters and which are not! so these must not be bad neighbours!:)

yep, i was about to say that:p

Nah. They are affiliates. Look -

    • Online gambling is popular.
    • There is a lot of money involved.
    • There are many casinos and therefore many possible sign-ups.
    • Casinos will make $xxx from these people at minimum.
    • Casinos are willing to pay good money to people who get sign-ups.
    • Casino landing pages will show many different casinos.
    • If they have high SERPs, they will get good targetted traffic which will convert.
    • To get high SERPs they need back links. Normal sites don't want to link to them.
    • They get links and traffic from bidding high on a bid directorys.
    • It converts, so bidding $300 on a bid dir may result in $1000 in leads/sales for them.
    • The bid dir owner is happy, so is the affiliate marketer.

I don't know everything. Its a very competitive niche. Similar to web hosting. High payouts but lots of other webmasters competing.

That sounds like a spill by a bid directory owner, perhaps it should read the directory owner wins the aff marketer may win

Yes, I don't accept links of gambling/casino/drugs/... sites.

I wanna have a clean nice bidding directory without any sites that paypal don't allow to promote.

The price is $3 for permanent placement.
PR4 bidding directory with a lot of daily visitors and increasing backlinks.

    Greetings

    Jason :)

As far as I'm concerned it isn't just bidding directories that should allow casinos' there's nothing wrong with gambling in moderation. Even a family type directory like mine would consider good quality casino sites if they were of a high standard.

    I agree with both,
I don't really understand the reason why many people don't accept CASINO's links ... of course there is some bad neighboorhood casino sites but not all sites are created equal. One could argue that linking to bidding directories can be thought of as linking to bad neighboorhoods since SOME have links for casinos ... as far as my bidding directory I am drawing the line to Direct PORN links

Casinos are big business, and most are run very honestly I don't see why they should be banned
